Also, at first the flat bit seems really weird, but that's been my favorite feature as I've found that I've been able to lie most comfortably facing that to allow my arm/shoulder to not be put under weird or painful pressure. Speaking of "flat", I recall some reviews that I had seen when I was shopping that complained the pillow was too flat. You have to allow the pillow ample time to decompress before using it and that's likely something that people didn't follow. I thought I gave it enough time only to see the next day that the paper insert said something like 24 hours versus the 8 hours I let it breathe. Even though I didn't do the recommended time, I think the pillow was fluffed enough technically.
